Michael has been working in the intellectual property profession since 2003 and joined Murgitroyd & Company in 2008. His work covers a broad range of technologies including biotechnology, molecular biology, organic chemistry, medical devices and mechanical devices, with particular emphasis on stem cell biology, immunology, catheters and stents. He is also experienced in the filing and prosecution of Supplementary Protection Certificates in various European jurisdictions.

Michael specialises in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the above areas and is also regularly involved in contentious work, including opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, and infringement and validity opinion work.
