Nazareth House Charity

Murgitroyd & Company takes great pride in supporting the work carried out by the Nazareth House charity in Cape Town, South Africa.

Nazareth House works to support vulnerable children and adults from all walks of life.

In 2007, Murgitroyd & Company made a five-year commitment worth £100,000 to assist with the building and equipping of two bungalows to house disabled and orphaned children in Cape Town. 3 years on, the bungalows are now built and occupied, and the children there are benefitting in real terms from the new living quarters.

Wherever possible, Nazareth House attempts to reunite such disadvantaged children with their families or to place them in foster care with the hope of eventual adoption.

Chairman Ian Murgitroyd and family and staff member Sue Catterall visited the completed bungalows and were delighted to report that Nazareth House staff and residents were very happy with how the new premises had turned out.

The Company and its staff continue to seek out opportunities to fundraise for this valuable cause, the most recent of which was the H2N (Helsinki to Nice) cycle challenge completed by a number of intrepid Murgitroyd employees, with half of all funds raised being donated to Nazareth House.
