Rebecca Dobson joined Murgitroyd in February 2019 following the acquisition of Chapman IP by Murgitroyd. Rebecca joined Chapman IP after running her own business, planning consultancy and events company. She is one of our trade marks specialists and has experience of prosecuting, defending and advising on trade mark applications and registrations for clients in a variety of fields ranging from small charities to multi-national corporations.
Rebecca also advises on filing strategies and the development of trade mark portfolios. She has significant experience in working with foreign attorneys in the filing of UK, European and foreign trade mark applications for multinational companies.
Rebecca holds a Bachelors degree in Anatomical & Biological Sciences from Bristol University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Royal Agricultural College. Rebecca has a Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, undertaken at Bournemouth University and a Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice from Nottingham Trent University. She is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and European Trade Mark Attorney, having been entered onto the Register in 2015.
Rebecca particularly enjoys combining her knowledge and experience of setting up and running her own business with the legal, strategic, marketing and commercial requirements of advising, prosecuting and defending trade mark rights for her clients of all scales.
