After completing a Masters in law, management and economics, Véronique Auger studied at the Centre d’Études Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle (CEIPI) in Strasbourg. Her aim was to specialise in intellectual property, trade marks, designs and models.
She joined Cabinet Bonneau in 1993, where her duties included developing a large local client base covering every subject area, most notably computer science, chemistry and biochemistry. She was also tasked with putting in place and following procedures for filing patents and trade marks.
When Cabinet Bonneau became part of Murgitroyd in 2003, Véronique began to concentrate on and strengthen her skills in trade marks, designs and models. In addition, working for a large international group meant there were greater resources for organisation and file management as well as knowledge development.
She is now the main point of contact in France for clients and colleagues, dealing with pre-litigation and litigation, in conjunction with specialist lawyers when necessary. Her clients’ activities are varied, but most are from the luxury goods, pharmaceutical and computing sectors. Véronique is a member of the Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles (APRAM) .
Murgitroyd’s desire to develop while remaining in touch with client needs led Véronique to propose extending services to the Benelux countries and, most recently, Switzerland.
Some of her major clients have been in the following sectors: food industry, computer, science, biochemistry, ecommerce, online gambling, luxury goods, jewellery, pharmaceuticals
