After graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Forensic Science, David Mansell continued his studies at the University of Manchester by undertaking a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry. His research involved exploring the role of inositol phosphate in natural iron chelation through the synthesis of biological inositol phosphates and novel diagnostic analogues. David continued in the field of R&D, initially with a Postdoctoral Research Associate position investigating the application of natural and engineered biocatalysts in the biosynthesis of industrially relevant chemicals, and latterly in the private sector at Glythera Ltd.
David moved to Murgitroyd in 2016 after gaining experience of Intellectual Property by working on the portfolio for Glythera’s propriety technology. Currently working towards being a fully qualified Attorney in the UK and Europe, David is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, and a student member of the EPI and CIPA.
David is based in the Newcastle Office.
Core Expertise: Mechanical engineering, welding systems, homecare products, synthetic chemistry, antibody-drug conjugates, biocatalysts, chemical compositions, forensic science.
