You would be part of our IP Services Renewals Team who manage the payment of over 30,000 cases due for renewal in any one year and monitor almost 100,000 maintenance fees in total. We have a worldwide client base handled by a team who are based in Glasgow, London and Leeds. The Trade Mark Renewals Assistant would work with the Trade Mark Renewals Team to ensure all Trade Mark Renewals are monitored, updated and processed.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying cases to be renewed
  • Monitoring deadlines and sending reminders
  • Calculating costs and investigating requirements, both legal and client specific
  • Corresponding with clients and establishing ongoing use of the Trademark
  • Preparing formality documents for execution by the client
  • Attending to the renewals in direct jurisdictions using various payment vehicles
  • Instructing and communicating with local associates for indirect jurisdictions
  • Advising and invoicing clients
  • Updating our case records, collating evidence/certificates and reporting to the client
  • Dealing with administrative tasks

Person Specification:

  • Excellent computer literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • Be able to prioritise, take instructions and pay attention to detail
  • Have the ability to deal with repetitive tasks accurately
  • Have a positive attitude to change
  • Show willingness to help others and work as part of a team
  • Proactive approach with a desire to learn
