JoAnn Sherman, a twenty-year in-house intellectual property operations veteran, joined Murgitroyd to drive its US customer success strategy and ensure a seamless interface between US service operations and our other global operations teams. JoAnn brings world class IP expertise and leadership from working with some of the most sophisticated corporate IP departments in the world, most recently Evoqua Water Technologies (formerly SIEMENS Water Technologies and US Filter), as well as BellSouth Intellectual Property (now AT&T Intellectual Property) and Scientific Atlanta (a Cisco company).

Throughout her career, she has directly contributed and/or directed the IP onboarding of a multitude of mergers & acquisitions. She has vast expertise in managing large global patent & trademark portfolios, evidenced by being awarded five US patents for systems and methods for managing and maintaining intellectual property.

In her previous roles in legal operations, she has used various digital tools including Murgitroyd’s proprietary online IP management system (Murgitroyd IP Portal). As an accomplished corporate in-house IP team leader, she understands the service needs of corporations, and thus she will ensure Murgitroyd continues to offer a customer-centric, value-driven service offering.
