Joseph Spencer qualified as Chartered Patent Attorney (UK) and a European Patent Attorney in July 2023 after joining the Electronics group in Murgitroyd’s Southampton Office in August 2019.

Joseph Spencer holds a Masters degree in Physics from Heriot Watt University in which he was awarded the Deputy Principals Award. In his penultimate year, Joseph completed his first dissertation which was focused on exploring the limits of ultrafast imaging of nanoscopic events using state of the art imaging technology. Following this, in his final year, Joseph completed his Masters dissertation which involved comparing quantum computers with classical computers via complex simulations.
