Lin has extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications across a range of specialties including software, wireless technologies, and optical imaging systems. Her practice extends to opposition matters before the European Patent Office as well as infringement analysis and opinion. She also advises clients on design matters. Lin works with clients ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations. She is actively involved in IP portfolio management and IP strategy.

Before joining the profession in 2015, Lin obtained her PhD at the Photonics Research Centre at Technological University Dublin, undertaking research focused on developing novel optical microfibre based sensors. Lin received her science degree in Materials Physics from University of Science and Technology Beijing, in China.
