Murgitroyd is delighted to announce that it will be Converge’s exclusive Intellectual Property partner once again in 2020. This is the 10th year the firm has partnered with the initiative since its inception in 2011.
Converge is Scotland’s leading company creation programme for staff, students and recent graduates of all Scottish Universities and Research Institutes. They have a strong reputation for helping the most innovative and creative thinkers from academia to realise their entrepreneurial ambitions by offering generous cash prizes, coaching and a programme of business training and support that turns fledgling businesses into investor-ready companies.
Gordon Stark said of Murgitroyd’s continued involvement: “We are really pleased to once again be Converge partners and are excited to help guide the next Converge Cohort through their IP journeys. We are also extremely proud to have been a partner since 2010 and look forward to seeing Converge’s continued growth as they move in to their 10th year.”
Converge Director, Claudia Cavalluzzo, added: “At Converge, we believe in the power of collaboration as it enables us to supercharge the support that we offer our alumni. This sees us working in partnership with industry-leading partners who provide expertise and sound professional advice to aspiring entrepreneurs when they need it most. We particularly value our relationship with Murgitroyd, a long-standing partner who has been with us since our launch in 2011 and who, over that time, has helped hundreds of Converge alumni take the right steps towards developing successful businesses. We are delighted to be working with Murgitroyd once again and look forward to an exciting year ahead.”
Murgitroyd has assembled a new Converge Team for 2020 who will be available to support all Converge entrants and guide them through their options when it comes to Intellectual Property. The team is made up of Senior Trade Mark Attorney, Chris Cairns, and Patent Scientists, Helen Lavery and Wei Zhang.
