Head of Clients
As Head of Clients, Laurence leads Murgitroyd's strategic client programme, shaping the firm's approach to retention, relationships, advocacy, insight and experience. She works across the business to ensure feedback informs decision-making, supports continuous improvement and strengthens long-term partnerships. A recognised advocate of client listening, she has led the development of the firm's feedback and insight programme, helping embed the voice of the client at the heart of the business.
Drawing on more than two decades of experience in the intellectual property industry, Laurence has held a diverse range of roles spanning patent translation, EP validation services coordination, business development, marketing and client experience. She has developed a deep understanding of both the commercial and operational aspects of intellectual property and is passionate about helping innovative organisations protect and maximise the value of their ideas.
Known for her strategic mindset and collaborative leadership style, Laurence is recognised for her ability to translate insight into strategic action and measurable improvements in the client experience. She has a particular interest in leveraging intelligence and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery, support better decision-making and create lasting value.
A Chartered Marketer, Laurence is committed to lifelong learning and continuous professional development. She actively contributes to the wider client listening and client experience community through industry publications, professional networks and collaborative initiatives, and has a keen interest in the application of artificial intelligence within professional services.
Laurence has served as co-Lead of the Scotland Network of IP Inclusive for more than five years, helping to oversee its development into the organisation's most active regional network. She is passionate about supporting IP Inclusive's mission to promote equity, diversity and inclusion across the intellectual property profession.
