Patent Paralegal Regional Head - Ireland

Barbara Farrell joined Murgitroyd in August 2021 following the acquisition of Hanna Moore + Curley by Murgitroyd. Barbara is Patent Paralegal Regional Head – Ireland and supervisor of our formalities department with over 40 years’ experience in Intellectual Property.

She has extensive experience in the formalities aspect of preparing and prosecuting patent applications worldwide. Barbara’s broad experience includes all aspects of preparing and processing applications and supporting documents for filing International, European and foreign patent applications and the validating of European Patent Applications in each European country. She also has experience in filing Design applications worldwide together with filing European Community Design applications and European Community Trademark Applications.

Before joining Hanna, Moore + Curley in 2008, Barbara worked in a very well-respected Dublin based firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys where she was also the formalities manager.

Barbara holds a Certificate in Patent Administration from CIPA in the UK. Barbara is based in our Dublin Office.
