Jacqueline McKay has a wealth of experience – with an Honours degree in Avionics from the University of Glasgow, she has also qualified as both a patent attorney and trade mark attorney while at Murgitroyd.
She then implemented a system where Murgitroyd attorneys concentrate on either trade marks or patents, and went on to build a dedicated trade mark team. Each member has the complementary skills and expertise needed to deliver excellent service on every aspect of national and international trade mark and designs issues.
Jacqueline currently concentrates on helping clients with trade mark strategies, selection, clearance, protection, registration, management and enforcement, as well as IP audits, licensing and transactions, and litigation support.
She is the author of a paper on European trade mark law and practice presented to the American Bar Association, and has presented to the Licensing Executive Society. She has also lectured to MBA students at the University of Glasgow, and tutored trainee patent and trade mark attorneys.
Jacqueline is based in Glasgow.
