Supervisor of Software
Manuel has worked for the firm for eight years and originally joined as an Intellectual Property (IP) Engineer Supervisor. He earned his Dipl.-Ing in Electronics Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) and a postgraduate certificate in Project Management from the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA). In 2005, Manuel was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study abroad. He earned an MSc in Information Management and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Information Security Management from Syracuse University, United States.
Manuel worked extensively as a Computer Programmer developing back-office software for various businesses. He also worked as the IT Department Director for the National Water and Sewage Company at Nicaragua, where he led the modernisation of Computing Networks, Hardware and IT Systems.
Manuel’s intellectual property experience has been principally in the technical areas such as business methods, telecommunications, computer networks, cellular networks (e.g. 3G, 4G, 5G), information security, information compression, signal processing, electronics, electrical engineering, and computer architecture. Given his technical expertise he is also called upon to assist clients in other technical areas.
Manuel is based in our Managua Office.
