Irene MacKenna

Irene joined Murgitroyd in February 2016 as a member of the Patents Department and transitioned to the role of Executive Assistant to the CEO when Gordon Stark took over the role in June 2020.

In addition to Irene’s role as EA to the CEO, her responsibilities involve supporting other members of the Senior Leadership Team, including John, Gillies, Kathryn Andrew, Alastair Rutter and Tom Gibb.

Irene’s responsibilities include diary management, travel arrangements, preparation of minutes and agendas, setting up PowerPoint presentations for Company and Director webinars and organising meetings and events for the Senior Leadership team and Board.

As Irene’s journey as EA commenced during lockdown, she was in the privileged position of being able to set up a Support Group for all Support staff in our offices around the world. This group has proved to be a useful tool for sharing information and knowledge across the business and continues to operate post lockdown, as it is an important and collegiate platform to bring colleagues together and help them to feel connected.

Irene is also an active member of the Trailblazers Group and assists the group leader with admin support by taking minutes and organising Above & Beyond Awards.

Irene is also a member of various sub-committees within the group.
