Murgitroyd’s Aberdeen office celebrates 25th anniversary

A large historic building with classical architecture, featuring columns and a clock tower, is situated on a busy city street with cars and pedestrians.

It’s 1993 and John Major is Prime Minister, a litre of fuel costs 54p and house prices in Aberdeen average around £60,000. It’s also an important year for Murgitroyd, the global Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys, as they open their newest practice in the energy capital of Europe – Aberdeen.

A lot has happened since then with Murgitroyd going on to establish itself as one of the UK and Europe’s most prominent IP firms. The Aberdeen office has grown and developed over the years and is now one of the firm’s largest and most successful practices.

The Directors and staff of the Aberdeen office were delighted to be joined by family, friends and Clients to celebrate their 25th anniversary at an event held in the Duthie Park Winter Gardens in Aberdeen last Thursday night.

Chief Operations Officer, Gordon Stark speaking on the night commented, “The growth and success of the Aberdeen practice has been thanks to the team, past and present, who have worked so hard over the years to make it what it is today. That commitment is perhaps best reflected by the fact that almost half the Aberdeen team have been with us in excess of 20 years. This continuity highlights the highest levels of loyalty and commitment and offers unparalleled skills and experience to both our Clients and the Intellectual Property community.”
