Russell Thom appointed as Managing Director of Murgitroyd’s Patents Group

Murgitroyd is delighted to announce the appointment of Russell Thom as Managing Director of our Patents Group.

With his unrivalled knowledge of Murgitroyd and the industry, Russell will lead our patent attorneys, patent trainees, patent paralegals and patent support group. A universally liked and well-respected colleague, Russell is always willing to provide his expertise and collaborative leadership style to all that work with him.

Russell joined Murgitroyd in 2000 as a trainee Patent Attorney and in his 23 years with the business, has made an immense contribution to the growth and success of the company in his various roles including Director of Patents, Head of Risk, Practice Group Leader for the Chemical and Life Sciences team and then more recently being promoted to the UK Regional Head in 2020 and then Assistant Managing Director in 2022.
