Yvonne Martin

Yvonne Martin joined Murgitroyd in 2019 as a patent secretary, first supporting Patent Attorneys in the Electronics team then moving to support the Patent Paralegal team. As part of our structured career development programme, Yvonne was given the opportunity to further qualify and passed her CIPA Introductory Patent Paralegal Course in 2023. Yvonne is now a key member of our Patent Paralegal Team.

Yvonne’s day to day responsibilities include providing paralegal support throughout the patent prosecution process for a variety of large international corporate clients as well as SMEs and small local clients. Yvonne works as part of the wider patent paralegal team providing significant client support to our Attorney teams as well as direct client care for large portfolios. 

Activities are varied and include monitoring deadlines and attending to legal requirements of the patent application from filing to grant, preparing and filing formalities documents at various Patent Offices, liaising on a daily basis with the clients, foreign associates and the UKIPO, EPO and WIPO Patent Offices.
