Michele Fratti joined Murgitroyd in August 2021 following the acquisition of Hanna Moore + Curley by Murgitroyd. An Italian national, Michele is a European Patent Attorney and an Italian Patent Attorney with over 15 years’ experience of in-house and private practice.

His university education was in the field of electronic engineering, including laboratory experimental activities and testing on nuclear electronic devices.

Before joining Hanna Moore + Curley in 2016, Michele worked as in-house patent engineer and patent attorney for ABB, based in the Italian headquarter of Milano. His main activities were in the fields of power distribution, electric devices, automation and solar inverts, and included IP strategic activities related to R&D projects, drafting and prosecution of Italian, European and International applications, patent searches and freedom to operate analysis, revision and drafting of contract IP clauses, and tutoring in IP internal courses.

Michele’s work primarily entails in the preparation and prosecution of electronics and ICT related cases both for local and larger multinational clients.

Michele is a member of the Italian Association of Industrial Property Attorneys (Ordine dei Consulenti in Proprietà Industriale) and the European Patent Institute (EPI).

In his spare time, Michele’s main personal interest is music including attending concerts, playing the piano and studying music theory and composition.

Michele is based in our Dublin Office.
