Christine Bett
Head of Trade Mark Paralegals and Support Services
Christine Bett was appointed Head of Trade Mark Paralegal and Support Services in August 2022. Christine has many years of experience in trade marks, having joined the firm in 2005. She began her trade mark journey as a Secretary before becoming a Senior Trade Mark Assistant in 2017, and Deputy Head of Trade Mark Paralegals in May 2021.
Christine has extensive experience in the management and prosecution of trade mark portfolios. She has responsibility for the end-to-end handling of matters for a number of clients, acting as a key point of contact and managing portfolios largely independently, with attorney input where appropriate. She liaises directly with foreign associates worldwide and supports clients ranging from large international organisations to smaller local businesses across a broad range of sectors.
Christine leads the firm’s Trade Mark Paralegal and Secretarial support functions and plays an active role in the operational development of the Trade Mark Department. She works closely with the Managing Director of Trade Marks, trade mark attorneys, and colleagues in other departments to develop team structure, improve processes, and implement consistent and effective ways of working. A key part of her role involves supporting and developing her team, including providing guidance, training, and practical support during periods of change, ensuring the support function continues to evolve in line with the needs of the business and its clients.
Christine is based in our Glasgow Office.
