Mark Earnshaw studied Honours Chemistry at Bristol University. He then joined dedicated research firm in advanced ceramics, during which time he worked on silicon nitrides, boron carbide and ceramics-to-metal bonding projects.
He moved on to a leading London firm to train and qualify as a European and UK patent attorney, dealing with a range of chemical and pharmaceutical inventions for multi-international clients. Mark set up the Murgitroyd Belfast office after meeting and marrying his wife there.
He currently deals with chemical engineering, including gas-to-liquids (GTL), liquefied natural gas (LNG), oil and gas pipelines, and coal-based technologies. He handles some water treatment and water purification technologies for clients based primarily in the UK and Europe. Mark also does some silicone-based cases and industrial chemical cases for US clients. With his breadth of experience, he heads up the Murgitroyd chemical team.
Mark has been a Director of Murgitroyd for over 15 years. Within Northern Ireland, he regularly gives talks and lectures at the local universities and business forums.
