If you would like to be part of that team of attorneys, we are currently looking for a trainee European Patent Attorney, preferably in the Mechanical or Mechatronics field. You must hold a relevant university degree in the Mechanical or Mechatronics field. The language requirement in order of importance is excellent English (both written and spoken); good Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish; and Finnish. Knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage. Your main task will be handling patent attorney work, and other IP work, before various Nordic patent offices, as well as EPO, WIPO, and EUIPO. Full training provided.
The position will be in our Helsinki Office but you may be required to travel from time to time.
Start date by mutual agreement.

As an Inside Sales Representative at Murgitroyd you will be responsible for generating new business and managing existing client accounts, selling in the US IP legal services industry.
You will become an expert in Murgitroyd’s newly redesigned proprietary technology platform, M: IP Portal® through presentation of the software. You will work daily with prospects and clients through inbound and outbound calling. You will process incoming leads through M: IP Portal® and handle inbound client inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You will produce and deliver effective outreaches through channels such as phone calls, emailing, social media and events/networking. You will be challenged to learn and understand the sales process while working with one of the most innovative IP firms in the world. Due to the expected extreme growth over the next few years, it’s necessary for the person in this role to have the right attitude, energy and thirst for success!
What you will do
- Research and target new prospects through email and cold calling ensuring compliance with local and global data protection laws
- Interact with prospective and existing clients by phone and online via the conference call platform, GoToMeeting
- Meet monthly goals by increasing sales of Murgitroyd products and/or services
- Provide existing client support via phone and may conduct field visits, based on client need and manager approval
- Work with the US BD field team members to ensure monthly goals are met
- Attend conference events (manage booth planning, staffing and follow up) and other Murgitroyd hosted events upon request
- Contribute to the management of our CRM database, e.g. Pipedrive
- Contribute to future event planning and competitive thinking
- Plan other sales-driven activities such as US-focused webinars
- Use social media and strategic email marketing to contribute to the sales funnel (with a specific focus Searching, Translations, Renewals, PCT National Phase filings and EP Validations within the US market)
- Report to Chief Marketing Officer, Jamie LeLiever
- 4-year college degree
- 1-3 years of related experience (preferred but not required)
- Proficiency in a specific area of Marketing/Sales
- Thrive under moderate supervision and a self-starter
- Have the ability to travel at least 10% or your working hours
