Chief Technology Officer

David is a dynamic and trusted technology leader with over 20 years’ experience delivering digital transformation across the professional services, technology and engineering sectors. As Chief Technology Officer at Murgitroyd, David is responsible for shaping and executing the company’s global technology and digital strategy, ensuring that technology plays a central role in driving growth, efficiency, and client value.

Before joining Murgitroyd, David was Chief Technology Officer at Tetra Tech RPS, where he led digital and technology strategy and software engineering across the UK and Europe, establishing enterprise architecture frameworks and driving data, AI, and cloud adoption to enhance operational performance.

Prior to that, David spent several years at Microsoft, where he served as Account CTO for the Professional Services sector. In this role, he worked with global architecture, engineering, and construction clients to develop and deliver cloud, data, and AI strategies that transformed their businesses. He was instrumental in creating joint go-to-market digital platforms with key enterprise customers.  

Earlier in his career, David held senior technology and innovation roles at National Grid and Cadent Gas, where he established digital innovation teams, drove adoption of emerging technologies, and led high-profile transformation initiatives.

David is a passionate advocate for using technology to unlock commercial value and enable new business models. He is equally committed to building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
