Jonathan Morris deals with a wide range of technologies, mainly in the fields of mechanical, manufacturing and electrical engineering. He has particular experience with inventions in the following sectors: automotive, renewable energy, industrial systems and components, aerospace, construction, manufacturing, agricultural equipment, medical devices, household goods, packaging, lighting, mining equipment and office equipment.
His areas of expertise include drafting patent specifications, prosecuting patent applications at the European Patent Office (EPO) and the UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO), handling EPO oppositions and appeals, and advising clients on foreign filing strategies, infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate (FTO) opinions.
Jonathan also assists clients in protecting their designs and prepares and files registered design applications at the European Union Designs Registry (EUIPO) and the UKIPO.
Jonathan has extensive experience working with SMEs, helping clients to make strategic decisions to protect their IP and innovations.
Jonathan entered the profession in 1999 and is office lead for Milton Keynes Office.
