External Training Co-ordinator

Michelle brings a unique blend of experience and expertise to her role as a patent paralegal. She joined Hanna Moore + Curley in May 2019, transitioning seamlessly from a 16-year career in retail, specialising in fashion and Irish design. Her strong interpersonal and administrative skills paved the way for her to excel in her new role. Following the acquisition of Hanna Moore + Curley by Murgitroyd in August 2021, Michelle continued to grow within the organisation, becoming a fully qualified patent paralegal after earning the Certificate in Patent Administration from the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys in London.

Currently based in Murgitroyd’s Dublin office, Michelle plays a pivotal role in supporting European and foreign patent prosecution practices. Her responsibilities include preparing and processing international, European, and foreign patent applications, filing European Community Designs, and managing UK applications. She also has extensive experience in validating European patents across multiple jurisdictions and overseeing the transfer of rights through recordals and assignments. With a focus on maintaining strong relationships with clients and foreign associates worldwide, Michelle ensures that deadlines are met, legal requirements are attended to, and IP portfolios are expertly managed.

Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Michelle actively contributes to fostering Murgitroyd’s company culture through her involvement with the Trailblazers Team, an internal group dedicated to promoting trust, unity, and confidence among colleagues. As part of the ESG committee, she helps organise initiatives that support employee well-being and engagement while aligning with the company’s environmental, social, and governance goals. Michelle is also passionate about charity work, reflecting her dedication to making a positive impact both within and outside the workplace.
