Philip Groves

Philip Groves specialises in the chemicals sector, although he has been involved in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technical fields. These include pharmaceuticals, coatings, food production, mechanical devices, nanomaterials and industrial machinery.
Before joining the profession, Philip studied the mechanisms of light-induced protein degradation. His research encompassed a wide range of chemical, physical, and biological knowledge, including photochemistry, biological structures, and fundamental photophysical processes. The interdisciplinary nature of Philip’s research sparked a desire to broaden his expertise into the wider chemical and engineering industries.
Philip has a particular interest in the development and application of green technologies, as well as ground-breaking analytical techniques.
Philip is based in our Leeds Office.
