We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gordon Stark as Chief Executive of Murgitroyd, as part of a wider restructuring of Murgitroyd’s executive management team, which sees the appointment of three new managing directors to lead its core operating divisions.

Gordon, a qualified patent attorney, joined Murgitroyd in 1998 and was appointed to the firm’s senior management team in 2007. He has held the role of Chief Operating Officer for the last 8 years and has an unrivalled knowledge of the company’s global operations.

Gordon will lead an established and experienced executive team which includes Keith Young as CFO, US-based Jamie LeLiever as CMO and Mary Quinn as HR Director. The executive team will be strengthened by the appointment of three new managing directors, with Keith Jones leading the firm’s Patent division, Mark Hickey leading the Trade Mark group and US-based Michael Chernoff being appointed as Managing Director of the firm’s Strategic IP Services group.

The value that Murgitroyd places on delivering excellence in client services is further reflected in the appointment of Kevin Toner as Client Services Director for the UK and European markets and Mark McManus as a Director of Global IP Support Services.

Gordon commented, “I am immensely proud to be appointed CEO and to lead Murgitroyd into the future. These new appointments reflect our intention to continue our long story of growth. I congratulate my colleagues as they take on their new roles, and we are fortunate to be supported by over 320 talented and dedicated colleagues, all with a continuous drive to deliver IP excellence to our valued clients.”

Chairman Richard Longdon commented: “I wholeheartedly congratulate Gordon on his appointment as CEO. He is highly regarded by both clients and colleagues and heads up a strong and dynamic executive team that is well-positioned to lead the business into the next phase of its growth, developing the Group organically as well as through planned acquisitions and strategic investments in services both locally and globally. Together with the board, I wish Gordon and his team every success. “
