Germany has today deposited its ratification of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) Agreement. This means that the UPC Agreement will enter into force on 1 June 2023.
The ‘sunrise period’, in which opt outs can be filed, will now commence on 1 March 2023.
Germany’s Federal Ministry of Justice has published an official press release to confirm this development.
