Anna Barmby is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience as a Patent Paralegal. Currently serving as the Patent Paralegal Regional Head in the UK. Anna excels in her role, ensuring seamless coordination and communication between clients and foreign associates across the globe.

With a strong background in patent law and procedures Anna's expertise lies in managing patent portfolios and overseeing the patent application process. She holds an impressive educational background including a Masters of Laws (LLM) from the University of Strathclyde, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Glasgow, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Mount Allison University.

Anna's academic achievements have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles and intellectual property laws. She applies this knowledge to navigate the complexities of patent prosecution and provide invaluable support and guidance to clients throughout the process.

Anna’s his day-to-day responsibilities revolve around maintaining effective relationships with clients and foreign associates worldwide. Her exceptional communication skills, honed through her educational pursuits and professional experience, enable her to effortlessly engage with patent and design offices for GB, EP, and PCT applications, ensuring the smooth progress of filings, responses, and other crucial aspects of the patent process. Anna also has experience in-house, seconded part-time to one of our large technology clients.

Anna also leads Murgitroyd’s Trailblazers Group, an ESG committee focussed on colleague engagement and living into our company values of trust, unity, and confidence. The Trailblazers Group organises initiatives throughout the year to support our ESG goals.
