Senior Trade Mark Attorney

Christopher Banister acts for a variety of clients in a wide range of commercial sectors, including clothing, cosmetics, food and drink, telecommunications, energy, education, construction and financial services. Chris supports businesses from start-ups through to multinational corporations in the creation, protection, management and enforcement of trade marks. 

Chris has particular expertise in relation to trade mark searching, registration, oppositions, invalidity actions and revocations, assignments, domain name and Company Name Tribunal disputes. He also supports clients by managing their portfolio of IP assets and advising on cost-effective protection strategies. 

Chris entered the profession by joining UDL (a UK patent and trade mark attorney firm) in 2015 and qualified as a Trade Mark Attorney in 2018. The UDL team joined Murgitroyd in 2021 and following a brief period living in Brazil, Chris re-joined Murgitroyd in August 2023. 

Chris is based in our Southampton Office.
