Anna Szpek

Anna Szpek acts for a diverse range of clients in sectors including cosmetics, fashion, food and drink, animation, merchandising, broadcasting and telecommunications. She works across all aspects of trade mark matters from inception to renewal including clearance searches, advising on UK and overseas filing programmes and renewal strategies.

Much of Anna’s practice involves handling disputes to successful resolution, often without recourse to formal tribunal or court proceedings. Anna assists clients in forming strategies to deal efficiently with third-parties that deliberately make use of clients’ brands in the hope of gaining an advantage. In addition to handling contentious proceedings at the UKIPO, Anna has experience in Company Name Tribunal disputes and social media take-down procedures.

Anna also has considerable experience in handling worldwide assignment programmes and undertaking due diligence exercises.

Anna is fluent in Polish. She entered the profession in 1998.

Anna joined Murgitroyd as part of the addition of the UDL team to the Murgitroyd team in October 2021. She is based in our London Central Office.
